A goose shaped “Sirfo” side table designed by Alessandro Mendini for Zanotta during the 1980s. Tempered glass top on a solid aluminum base.
Mendini (1931 – 2019), was a well respected Italian designer and architect who was particularly known for his avant-garde approach to design, combining elements of art and architecture, as well as for his vibrant use of colours and textures. His works covers furniture, objects, architecture and even clothing.
Alessandro Mendini pieces’ form part of the permanent collection of several museums (e.g. the Centre Pompidou, Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of New York).
Condition: Very good, minor signs use and age on the metal base.
