Set of twelve first edition Cab 412 dining chairs in cognac brown leather by Mario Bellini for Cassina.
The Cab chair is built up as a tubular frame over which thick saddle leather is fitted; the leather skin is kept in place with zippers on the inside legs.
A wonderful piece of classic design from the 1970s, now part of the permanent collection at the New York Museum of Modern Art. Note that these are 1st edition chairs with paper Cassina label, and without the plastic underside that were added to later productions.
Origination: Italy, late 1970s. Labelled on the underside of most chairs.
Condition: Overall good. Structurally strong. Signs of age in the form of scratches, discoloration and minor craquelure on the leather as per images.
