Description
Finn Juhl’s Japan series is one of his most sought after furniture, its design (1953) was based on the Miamjima water gate nearby Hiroshima.
Finn Juhl, a Danish architect born in 1912, started his own practice in 1945 where he specialized in designing both interiors and furniture. His works were of high standard and technologically advanced for the time. He was also known for working together with designer Niels Vodder resulting in well known works such as the Chieftain and Pelican Chair.
Our set was produced by France and Son, and has been re-upholstered in a high-quality felt wool. The teak wood and brass show a wonderful patina.
Condition: Overall good, some signs of use on the wood frame. Re-upholstered.
