An extraordinary valet stand designed by Marc Sadler during the 1990s for Boffi (Italy).

 

The use of the variety of materials with their own look, structure and feel, are applied into a day-to-day item transforming it from something just functional to an object of art.

Marc Sadler has designed several pieces for well known companies such as Flos and Foscarini. His works have been rewarded several times by the Compasso d’Oro, and are featured in several museums, among which the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Please note the valet stand has moving parts, and the chest size can be adjusted in several ways to fit the owners wardrobe.

 

 

Condition: Good, some signs of age as pictured in particular on the metal parts. This could be polished off, however we decided to leave this piece completely untouched.

Origination: Italy, 1990s. Signed and numbered.
