Description
The Coconut Lounge Chair is a well recognized mid-century piece due to it’s simplicity in design – plain, but classic lines and with minimal use of materials. George Nelson designed it to be a coconut shell divided into eight identical parts.
The chair consists of a steel tube frame, a plastic white shell (resembling the inside of a coconut) and, in this case a poppy-red ivory hopsack fabric by Vitra.
