Rocking chair originally designed by Josef Hoffmann during the 1920s.

This lounge chair provides a very ergonomic seating experience, despite its rigid looks. It features an adjustable back and footrest, which can be completely folded away.

This chair was produced by the Antonio Volpe company during the early 1980s in Italy, based on the original design by Josef Hoffmann. At Volpe, it was simply known as the “267” model, without attributing it to any designer.

Provenance: Bought from original owner in Switzerland, chair was purchased during the 1980s in Vienna, and only used as a decorative piece since then.

 

 

Origination: Italy, 1980s. No longer in production.

Condition: Very good, minor signs of use on the lacquer finish.
