Description
Floor lamp designed by Pietro Chiesa in 1933 and produced by Fontana Arte. The Luminator was for its time a groundbreaking design, and considered to be the first indirect light floor lamp in design history.
The lamp is completely built up in metal, consisting of a stem that widens into a cone. The color can be best described as a very light grey, with a hint of blue. The finish is not smooth, but has a relief to it.
Light source: E14 Screw-in halogen or incandescent bulb. Can be used on the US electric grid after a plug change (we can do this for you!).
Origination: Italy, 1980s. Most lamps carry the Fontana Arte label.
Condition: Very good, minor signs of use on the metal finish as per pictures. We have replaced the dimmer and part of the wiring for safety reasons.
Approximate Dimensions:
Height: 185 cm
Diameter: 30 cm
