Description

Gae Aulenti, an Italian architect active during the post-war period has designed buildings, interiors, furniture and lamps during her career, many of them well-known such as the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Pipistrello and Oracolo lamp.

This particular lamp has been produced in a very limited edition during the 1990s. In contrary to the more available 1970s model with brown base, the grey metal based edition is a very rare find.

 

Materials: White opaline glass on top of aluminum base, the glass sphere contains an E27 bulb, the base has two smaller E14 screw-in bulbs (turned on/off separately).

Origination: Italy, 1990s. Labelled by Artemide.

Condition: Good. Glass not damaged, wiring and dimmer ok.
