Designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer, this chair’s construction based on bent chromed steel tubes was inspired by bicycle frames. Breuer’s B3 or “Wassily” chair was originally designed for use in the office of Wassily Kandinsky at the Bauhaus Faculty.
It only became the design classic that it is known for today as soon as Gavina started producing these during the early 1960s and later Knoll, who holds the current production license.
Our version for sale was produced by Knoll during the early 1980s. It is in overall good condition, no structural issues. Some scratches and wear on the leather as per pictures.
Origination: Italy, 1980s, labelled by Knoll.
Condition: Good vintage condition, superficial scratches on the leather, but still very strong and ready for daily use.
