Description

The Pernilla 3 recliner was designed in 1944 and is considered one of the most important works of the Swedish designer Bruno Mathsson.

Mathsson’s career started in 1931 when he designed a chair for a hospital waiting room, which resulted in a seat using saddle straps, which made it possible to sit comfortable without the need of pillows or supporting upholstery.

Our Pernilla 3 was originally covered in longhair sheepskin, which we have replaced with a new cover including leather headrest. The skin was sourced from Skandilock Sweden, a supplier of sheepskins to scandinavia’s leading furniture brands.

The result is a lounge chair of which no other one exists, it is unique and extremely comfortable.
