Set of two elmwood S38 benches by Pierre Chapo. These benches were intended to fit around the 140cm round table (T21D).
Chapo’s design have been heavily influenced by works from from the Bauhaus period and designers like le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. By studying his pieces one thing clearly stands out: his focus on details, craftsmanship and the relatively bulky and rigid shapes used in his furniture.
Other works include the S11 Chair, the T22 Coffee Table and the R08 Sideboard: Pierre Chapo can be considered as one of the most recognized designers from the French Modernist period.
