Description

A Lounge chair by Pierre Paulin produced by Artifort, with red woolen upholstery.

Pierre Paulin was a Paris-born French designer, who created his best known pieces in cooperation with the Dutch Artifort. Famous pieces are the “Tongue Chair” or the “Ribbon Chair”, featured in several museums such as the MOMA in New York, and Centre Pompidou in Paris.

This particular chair is very comfortable, the tulip-shaped seat forms itself around the user. It comes with the metal cross-foot base which is only found on the older Tulip chairs; we have re-upholstered the armchair in the original fabric produced by de Ploeg (a Dutch fabric mill).
