Description
Table lamp by Nathalie du Pasquier and George Sowden, for the series “Objects for the Electronic Age”.
Nathalie du Pasquier & George Sowden, founding members of the Memphis-Milano group collaborated together to create a set of limited edition, small batch production objects, ranging from clocks, fruit bowls to table lamps. Although all objects principally served a purpose, clearly the intention was to let function follow form or the concept, and no so much the banality of day-to-day use.
The design of this table lamp is a perfect reflection of the 1980s Memphis-Milano style, using bold colors, bold forms, and where functionality is put after its form.
This table lamp from the Objects for the Electronic Age series is extremely rare, and makes a real collectors’ item.
