Yrjö Kukkapuro is a Finnish furniture designer and architect known for his innovative and functional designs. He has played a significant role in shaping Finland’s modernist design movement, creating iconic pieces like the Karuselli and Remmi lounge chair.
The Remmi chair consists of a tubular chromed metal frame with black leather upholstery, providing a very comfortable seating experience due to its ergonomically shaped leather upper.
Pieces by Kukkapuro are featured in the MoMA New York and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
