Description
A set of SH45 pegchairs designed by Yngve Ekström, sold by Pastoe, the Netherlands during the 1960s.
Yngve Ekström trained like many of his peers as an architect. What made stand out however was his knowledge of wood and furniture construction, having worked from an early age in the Swedish wood furniture industry. Together with other designers of this era such as Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Kjaerholm, he made a considerable addition to the very popular scandinavian mid-century modern style.
This particular set has been imported by Pastoe, who sold them on the local Dutch market.
