The “Verspanntes Regal” is a Postmodern shelf designed by Wolfgang Laubersheimer for the Pentagon Group in 1984.

Pentagon, embraced an artistic approach to the objects they designed; often uncommon, experimental materials and treatments were used.

No exception forms the “Verspanntes Regal”,  this bookshelf was constructed using welded sheets of bent steel, kept under a constant tension with the metal wire attached to one side. The steel has not been treated in anyway, resulting in a unique patina built up over several decades of use. A truly unique piece, produced in only small quantity.
