Eames side chair on a white metal la Fonda base. Designed by Charles & Ray Eames, and produced by Herman Miller for re-sale by Vitra.
The la Fonda base was originally designed by the Eames’ couple for the “La Fonda Del Sol” restaurant in the Time Life Building (NY) during the 1960s.
This chair has been restored: The seat pad has new foam and re-upholstered with a Kvadrat Divina red wool. The seat has been gel coated again, to original specification. New original glides have been installed.
Origination: United States, 1970s. Marked in shock mounts with Herman Miller logo. Marked “V” in shell. Labelled by Herman Miller on bottom shell.
Condition: Excellent condition, some small signs of age on the base. Glides replaced, new seat pad, shell has been re-painted.
