By ordering from SympleDesign, you agree with the following Terms and Conditions:
Our products

At Symple Design, we sell 20th century vintage and design furniture. We sell mostly vintage furniture and lighting, meaning pieces generally older than 30 years of age. Occasionally we stock newer items (such as new-old-stock, re-editions), they are always indicated as such.

Vintage items have been often used for decades, and although we carefully curate and when necessary restore items to their original state, they will without exception show normal signs and traces of use in line with their age.

Prices and Payment

Prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF), where necessary we will convert to either Euro, US Dollar using the daily mid-rate. 

Prices exclude shipping and any other costs related to transport and importation: These will be carried by buyer. Return shipping cost are on account of buyer. Quoted prices include for Switzerland always all necessary taxes. Please note we will not accept any responsibility for foreign countries’ import and VAT regulation in case of international sales.

If an order is cancelled by the buyer before shipment, buyer will be held liable for any transaction costs in the form of credit card fees: i.e. purchase price less 3% credit card fees will be refunded.

If a product is noted as “on-hold” on our website and buyer chooses continues with the checkout procedure regardless,  3% credit card fees will not be refunded on the purchase price and shipping cost.

For any purchase, products will be shipped out only after payment receipt. Goods are considered sold at the moment an order is placed or invoice is created. Note that all sales are considered final, we do not provide refunds or will accept returns, other than for goods that are heavily misrepresented:


Shipping & Returns

Buyer will have to check within 24 hours of goods receipt if the product is as described. Returns will only be accepted if the item does not comply to the provided description and/or pictures. Cash purchases made directly in our warehouse including orders placed online for local pickup, will not be accepted for return.

Returns will have to be applied for by email, stating clearly the nature of the defect and accompanied by supporting images. No returns will be accepted other than formally agreed on forehand. 

The purchase price, excluding shipping costs will only be returned to the same account as used for payment, not later than 14 days after receipt of goods confirmation.

Please note any return will have to be sent with original packaging, and in their original state. Symple Design reserves the right to refuse returns or only partially reimburse returned items if suspected that they are damaged or used. Cost for return shipping and associated risks will be covered by the buying party.

Although we do our best to pack our items safely for shipping, damage might occur:

Symple Design will not be held responsible for any damages/losses during shipment.

We will however work for you to make any claims with the shipper in case any issues happen. Note that the purchased item needs to be inspected within 24 hours of receipt, and reported immediately to us; some of our shippers will not accept claims outside of this period.

Please note that all deliveries are in principle until doorstep (first door seen from the curb side), white-glove deliveries (in-house delivery, installation and packaging clean up) are available by demand only.

At conclusion of a sale the item will be shipped out, or will need to be picked up within reasonable time frame: External storage fees might apply for items kept longer than three weeks in our warehouse after a sale has been concluded. Pre-agreed exceptions might apply on a case-by-case basis. 



Privacy Policy

SympleDesign is concerned about your privacy and the security of your personal information. We’d like to keep this section as straightforward and understandable as possible: 

What we collect from you, while visiting this website is non-personal information related to browser, country, operating system and internet provider. We use this data in combination with the pages that are visited to better analyze the needs of our visitors and potential customers.

As soon as personal information is transferred to us, e.g. while placing an order, certain information is kept offline only for our tax reporting purposes: Name, (email)address, and phone number. In no way will your personal data be used for any other purpose. We do not share your personal details with 3rd party organizations, neither will we ourselves contact you for any promotional purpose.
