Description
Mario Bellini designed the Cab chair for Cassina in the late 1970s. A tubular steel frame is fully enveloped in thick saddle leather, zippered onto the structure, an innovative concept that blends upholstery with architecture.
It has since become an icon of Italian design and is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
This set of four is upholstered in natural saddle leather that has developed a rich, uneven patina over time, with warm discolorations unique to each chair.
